CompressMyPDF uses WebAssembly technology to run Ghostscript directly in your browser. In the standard workflow, your PDF is read from local browser memory and is not uploaded to CompressMyPDF servers.
This local workflow is suitable when you prefer not to transfer a document to a compression service. The optional Google Drive flow is a separate, explicit exception and exchanges the selected file with Google Drive.
Multiple compression presets, from screen-optimized (72 DPI) to prepress quality (300 DPI), let you choose the balance between file size and visual quality. Results depend on the source document.
